Tuba Fingerings

As the greater of the brass instrument, the tuba is the bass voice of the brass group. Nevertheless, this does not mean that this instrument is limited to playing slow, “oompah” musical accordance. Music directors characteristic the tuba´s elegant tone in melodies, musical accordance and countermelodies similarly. Selecting to finger this instrument is mainly a fun and pleasing event.
Exercise your embouchure (formation of mouth). Some tuba musical instruments have removal bell, if your instrument have one like this, put the bell portion into the receiver and slowly constrict the screws. Fetch your musical instrument and place yourself in a straight backed chair without arms. Place yourself with your legs little bit separate. Place the musical instrument in your lap with the bell directing upwards. Aim the musical instrument as needed to bring the tuba to your mouth.
Hold the musical instrument with the help of your left hand and practice your tuba fingerings. Keeping the musical instrument, if the pistons or valves are to the right of the main pipe, the left arm and hand will extent around the front of the tuba to hold the instrument. If the pistons or valves are to the opposite side of the main pipe, the left hand will place over the top curve of the musical instrument, closely parallel to the floor, smoothly keeping the tuning positions. Place your right hand for tuba fingerings. Supporting the musical instrument, if the pistons or valves are to the same direction of the main pipe, the right hand stays behind the musical instrument with the tips of finger on the valves, your fingertips sleekly bowed and thumb resting below the instrument and following the valves.
